MOMs O'Clock!
Moms or a mother is "the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world," Anna Jarvis said in a 1908 letter to her mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, announcing the creation of Mother's Day to honour her mother and to honour all mothers. This is the natural state of motherhood. Every mother swears by the principles of unconditional love and unselfish service. This May we will celebrate the amazing women in our lives, a time to honour the women who gave birth to us. We have people in our lives who commit their lives to us, who are selfless but strong, who show affection and care for us... Being a mother is, without a doubt, one of the most difficult and gratifying jobs in the world. It's impossible to express our thanks for all they've done to keep us healthy, happy, and safe in a single day. Their contributions to our lives go unnoticed at times, but they do so much for us anyhow. Our best bet is to pay tribute to them whenever we get the opportunity.

It's your MOM-ent!

Take a break, all you moms out there! Use these self-care suggestions to give yourself a treat! Take advantage of this one-time opportunity to be the finest version of yourself.
  • It's common knowledge that regular physical activity is good for our health, but did you know it may also serve as a stress reliever and enhance our immune system? When it comes to exercising, there's never been a better moment than now. You will begin to feel better after just one day.
  • Finding time to de-stress is critical for most moms, who are already under a lot of strain due to the pandemic. It is possible to meditate for as little as 2 minutes, but it needs concentration and willpower. You don't have to leave the comfort of your couch to get some zen practise anymore!
  • In the practice of thanksgiving, you are able to focus on the positive aspects of your life. A few times a day, perform this easy task. It has been shown to improve happiness. Take a deep breath and think about something you are actually thankful for when you're feeling overwhelmed.
  • Obviously, this is more difficult than it appears! It's time for you to unwind, whether that means prepping breakfast the night before so you don't have to cook or enlisting the help of your children for cleanup. Relax by taking a bath, lighting a candle, or listening to music. Let your mind wander and your spirit soar today!
