It seems that lately, the trend in Hollywood has been to make more movies centred around the superhero genre. There are many reasons for this, but the top reason is that there is a lot more money available in the screenwriting and directing industries for movies centred around these types of themes. Now that we have the technology available, it is much easier than ever to watch these movies on our television screens. I would guarantee that you would not even be able to count the number of times you have started watching a movie based on its title and location.
Why We Love Superhero Movies
These movies are very entertaining and, at times, have profound meaning behind them. Superhero movies entertain us, teach us things and generally provide us with escapism from the stressful lives that we have. In the past, superpowers were almost looked upon as a fad, Today, however, they are considered to be not only an excellent way to deal with life's difficulties but also something that can be a part of our culture.
We can escape from reality.
There are many reasons why we like superhero movies. One reason is that the Avenger movies tend to provide us with escapism, the superhero movie will take us away from the real world and place us in an alternate world, where there are no evil or bad guys, and it is usually up to the good guys to keep the city safe. In this way, superpowers give us a way to escape from the responsibility and normalcy of everyday life. But, of course, not all superpowers have to be based on reality and comic books; many times, the very basis for the character's powers come from myths, legends or even cartoons.
We love heroes!
Another reason why we love superhero movies is that they usually centre around a heroic figure who has some extraordinary power or weapon that enhances their abilities and makes them more potent than the rest of us. This could be physical, mental, spiritual or some spiritual boost. It is usually up to the audience and what they deem as being 'legitimate.'
The Marvel Heroes
Marvel superhero movies have been some of the best films in recent years. With such a great cast of characters to take the screen, I feel it is essential to go over each movie and give it its best score possible. I enjoyed Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Spiderman franchise, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, and the Avengers franchise. It should also be noted that some of these movies were not very well received at the box office. That does not mean they are a terrible choice for a superhero movie, but sometimes you get what you pay for. This is one of those seasons where the audience is split evenly between the excellent and bad ones.
