“My blood now flows through her veins”! If you love classic horror movies, the Universal Monsters POPs by Funko are a fabulous way to keep in close contact with the monsters we know and love from Hollywood movies of the 1920s and 30s.
Bela Lugosi was perfection as Dracula in the 1931 Universal movie. Apparently he wasn’t the director’s first choice, but with his wonderful eastern European accent and dark good looks he became the archetypal Dracula that we all recognise almost a century later. His portrayal of the Count in the black and white classic Dracula movie still influences our modern idea of what Count Dracula should look like with pale skin, dark hair and the widow’s peak hairline.
The POP version of Bela Lugosi’s Dracula is exquisitely detailed and the skin tone even looks authentically sepia toned as if we’re looking at a black and white photo. Dracula is wearing an elegant black suit with a white waistcoat and black cape. He is holding a candle to light his way around the creepy castle in Transylvania.
This Dracula POP is posed as if he has just stepped through a curtain or doorway. It’s a new pose to add to your collection or to start a brand new set. Other Universal Monsters include Frankenstein’s Monster and the Invisible Man.
Fly home with Dracula!
