I have been charged $1, in addition to my initial payment for joining Shipster. Why is this?

For security reasons, Shipster conducts a pre-authorisation transaction when you join. This $1 charge is then voided or reversed within 5 business days.

The pre-authorisation process is a typical industry practice. As part of Shipster’s standard checks, they conduct the pre-authorisation on your specified card or payment method.
