These soft and friendly blood cell plush toys are a fun way for kids to learn about biology and understand how the human body works! They are great for the classroom or for kids to learn at home and help take the fear out of the world through understanding how things work at the microscopic level!
This fun science kit for kids includes five types of blood cells: red blood, white blood, plasma and platelet. The kit also includes an information card to help identify the different types of cells and learn about how they work together to keep our bodies healthy!
Did you know that you have about 20 trillion (with a “T) red blood cells coursing through your veins? These helpful cells are what makes our blood appear red and they contain hemoglobin which carries oxygen and carbon dioxide around the body! White blood cells help us fight off germs and infections. Plasma is the pale liquid in which the rest of the blood cells float around; it helps transport waste products so they can be removed and helps us regulate our body temperature. Platelets help prevent excessive bleeding by producing clots (aka scabs!). Lastly antibodies are part of the immune system and help the body identify foreign substances (antigens) such as viruses, bacteria or chemicals.
The blood cell plush toy kit is for everyone ages 3 and older and makes a wonderfully educational gift for kids or teachers at Christmas or throughout the year!
