The folks around us are pretty use to seeing all the cool gadgets and toys we sometimes play with (oops, we mean test). When we first ventured onto the park with the Vulcan Radio Controlled (RC) Glider, comments ranged from "Is that a kite?" to "Does it really fly?".
Although some might say it resembles a B4 Stealth Bomber, we just like to call it the flying wing, 'cos that's pretty much what it is - an aerodynamically designed wing with a couple of high-powered turbo fans tacked onto its rear. Its air-cutting shape gives it the phenomenal ability to go like the clappers - up to 20 km/hr in the air.
As an almost ready to fly (ARTF) RC plane, about the hardest thing you'll find with the Vulcan, is locating enough wide open space, a football field at the very least. After that, getting this park flyer airborne is pretty simple - assemble its wing, apply the sticker decals (optional, but ultra cool), calibrate its wing flaps, toss it into the wind and throttle away. Oh, there's also recharging its Ni-MH battery pack, but this ain't gonna hold you back too long - 20 minutes is all you'll need with the included rapid car charger.
Worried about your less than stellar piloting skills? Don't be - the Vulcan's anti-break design means that even remote control amateurs will be basking in the glory that comes from seeing this flying wing tear up the sky's.

The Vulcan RC Flying Wing is an almost ready to fly (ARTF) yard / park flyer. It requires simple assembly and calibration before first time flight. Please follow the included instructions carefully to minimise any risk of damage to the glider from incorrect use. Before first flight, we recommend that you bend the Vulcan's wing flaps upwards (1-2mm) to ensure climb on full throttle. This should be further adjusted as necessary. This RC toy is not intended to be used in windy (> 3 m/s) or rainy conditions. Doing so will greatly increase the risk of damage. Please use your Vulcan in wide open spaces (min. 200 x 200m). When flying, flat grass areas with no nearby buildings, trees, crowds, roads or power lines are recommended (please don't try flying the Vulcan indoors). This will minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others. The Vulcan RC Glider requires a hand launch for take-off (in other words, please don't expect it to take-off from the ground by itself). 20 minutes is required to fully charge the included Ni-MH battery pack before first use - this will allow between 10-20 minutes of flying depending on how much throttling is being done, after which the battery pack will need re-charging with the in-car charger.- Recommended for ages 12 and up.
- Operating frequency: 27.145MHz.
- Length: 370mm, Width: 960mm (max. wing tip dimension).
Please note: This product is not for children under 3 years of age as some parts represent a choking hazard. Batteries should not be recharged beyond the recommended time frame.
