The microscope is probably as much a cornerstone of science education as the Bunsen burner. Think back to the first thing you placed within a slide and the surprise on your face when you were able to see first hand how things looked so completely different when magnified.
From your own hair to your dog's favourite snack, the opportunities for education and discovery are endless. In fact if it wasn't for the fascinating world of optical microscopy, there's much we wouldn't have discovered or learned about the things around us.
Skip forward a few centuries since the invention of the first true microscope, throw in the USB craze and digital camera revolution and what you have is a really useful piece of technology. The USB Digital Microscope easily attaches to your PC and with the included software, provides endless ours of educational fun right at home…no more having to share equipment with your lab partner.
See something you'd like to save for later, include in some research or just email to a friend? No problem, just hit the shutter button and you have a digital shot of your slide's contents at whatever magnification you choose – from 26x to 130x.
The USB Digital Microscope is simply operated with a zooming and focus ring, incorporates an internal light for added illumination, allows you to view images live on your computer monitor or capture images for later study and includes all you need to start exploring your personal specimens right away (including sucker, forceps, specimen slides and specimen stage).
