According to Wiki, PIR is Passive Infra Red – motion is detected when an infrared source with one temperature (that’s your body), passes in front of an infrared source with another temperature, like a wall. And the passive part? Well, that means that the Solar LED Door Light doesn’t emit an infrared beam, it just passively accepts incoming infrared radiation – which is you or your visitors. (Just think, when your guests comment on the light, you’ll be able to bore them senseless with science too!)

The panel collects the sun light and charges the rechargable batteries inside during the day time. In the night time, the emitter will turn on automatically when any motion is detected. The light will turn off after 1 minute.
Make sure that the solar panel is in clean condition at all times. Dirty panel will not allow the batteries to be fully recharged.
