Back in the 1980s pop star Huey Lewis sang "It's hip to be square." There weren't too many folks who actually believed him back then, but 20 years on you can hear Huey singing this track through the hippest square on the market – the Radio Cube.
Forget the dull, metallic, cumbersome designs of your average radio - makers Semk have used a little imagination to create a design that is as funky as it is functional.
Choose from colour combos such as blue/white, orange/white or black/white - then decide on the best place to put the Radio Cube to show it off in all its retro glory.
And with its ingenious construction, the best place is just as likely to be your desk as it is the beach. Made from durable plastic, metal and vinyl, it's easy to keep and won't feel like a brick in your beach bag. The tuning, volume and power controls are all hidden beneath the surface of the material, so the exterior remains stylishly flat.
What's more, the Radio Cube's battery operated - a wireless in the true sense of the word. The required 2 x AAA batteries are even included to help you get airway surfing right away. Simply tune into your favourite radio station (a classic hits station if you're a Huey Lewis fan!) and get your groove on.
