What the Radio Controlled Airship is all about...
If you'd love to remotely pilot your very own flying thingy, but don't have the paddock sized backyard to truly appreciate an aeroplane or helicopter, why not grab yourself this turbo blimp.
This high performance radio controlled (RC) airship will bring out the kid in anyone, offering hours of pleasure in the comfort of your own home or office. What's more, it's a whole lot safer than those fast spinning props or rotor blades found on most RC planes and choppers.
 The included multi-channel transmitter allows you to modulate the thrust of each propeller independently, allowing you to take off and land vertically, spin in place (i.e. turn 360 degrees) and fly in all directions. If you're concerned about remembering how to do all this complex flying...don't be, as piloting schematics are included right on the transmitter unit.
Each RC Airship features:
- exceptional power and manoeuvrability (3 micro-motor powered hi-thrust helical propellers for precision aerial manoeuvrability),
- safe indoor flight design (safe plastic propellers and metallised mylar balloon),
- more than a 100 feet operating range,
- a three-channel microprocessor radio control system; and
- a refillable silver blimp balloon.
Simply fill your balloon with helium, attach the basket / engine module to the balloon, carefully balance the balloon with the putty provided so it floats in mid-air and you're ready to go. That's it - now all you need do is conjure up a swag of aerial acrobatics for showing off to friends and family.
Product Specification
Each radio controlled (RC) airship comes complete with a handheld multi-function RC transmitter/controller, tri-turbo fan receiver/propulsion system (three micro jet thrusters), one refillable (Goodyear branded) helium blimp shaped balloon (129.5cm in length), directional rudder fins, ballast putty for neutral buoyancy, instruction manual and piloting tips. The colour of the basket / engine module may vary from that pictured.Helium is not included but easily attainable from florists or balloon, hobby, toy and party type shops. The RC Airship will require periodic helium top-ups to maintain its neutral buoyancy.The receiver/propulsion system requires 1 x CR123A 3V lithium cell and the hand-held transmitter requires 1 x 9V alkaline battery (neither included). A Phillips screwdriver is needed to remove the battery compartment from the basket module and double-sided sticky tape is required to attach the engine unit to the balloon.Please note: This RC Airship is designed specifically for indoor use and ships with an operating frequency of 27MHz only. It is recommended for ages 8 and up and should not be used by children under 3 years of age as some parts represent a choking hazard.
