Today's home is full of gadgets, and nowhere more than the kitchen. Let's face it; you can buy bread-makers, coffee-makers, blenders, juicers, electric knives and more. But to be honest, how many of these do you need?
At first glance, the Intelligent Rubbish Bin seems a little extravagant too. But if keeping your hands (and food) clean is important, then this garbage gulper from the Starship Enterprise is certainly for you.
Think about it. The best place to find the creepy-crawlies that live on rubbish and food scraps are in your rubbish bin. So logic says, opening your bin with the same hands that you're preparing food with is a definite no-no...and that's where this functional kitchen and office gizmo comes in.
So how does it work you ask? Well simply put, the Intelligent Rubbish Bin uses motion sensors to detect that you want to open the lid. Just wave your hand, leg or knee in front of the bin and presto...it opens up automatically for you to dispose your rubbish. Within a few seconds...viola, it closes by itself.
Better still, people with a disability will find it especially useful as there aren't any pedals to push or swing-tops to reach out to. And if you want to hold the lid open indefinitely, you can manually activate it by the touch of a button located on the front of the lid.
Oh yeah...we also recommend you say 'Open Sesame' when waving your hand. This isn't really necessary, but neither is eating chocolate, and we like doing that too.
Product Specification
The Intelligent Rubbish Bin is 27 x 51 x 33 cm in dimension and has a 23 litre capacity. It operates on 4 x D sized batteries (not included) that should provide around 6 months of regular use or can be mains powered using the included power pack.
